Following the introduction of the product standard EN 16034 Windows, doors and gates - with fire and/or smoke control characteristics
, the System Schröders licensees now supply fire resistance doors and gates that comply with this new standard.
Even higher fire protection available now
Fire resistance doors to the new European standard offer an even higher level of safety than approved fire protection closures to DIN 4102-5. This is another reason why, following the entry into force of EN 16034, System Schröders introduced fire resistance doors and gates to European standard during the coexistence phase.

External and internal doors with 30 minutes fire resistance
The new System Schröders door construction is also available as an external or internal fire resistance door, optionally with smoke control class EI230 (S200) C5.
For the single-leaf construction with 30 minutes fire resistance System Schröders TSN-1-CE, widths of 500 to 2,300 mm and heights of 750 to 3,500 mm are possible. For double-leaf doors and gates System Schröders TSN-2-CE, the structural opening dimensions range from 1,250 to 4,600 mm in width and from 500 to 4,600 mm in height.
External and internal doors with 60 minutes fire resistance
Furthermore, the licensed manufacturing companies of System Schröders offer external and internal doors with 60 minutes fire resistance, optionally with smoke control class EI260 (S200) C5.
For the single-leaf construction with 60 minutes fire resistance System Schröders TSN-3-CE, widths of 525 to 1,750 mm and heights of 750 to 3,500 mm are possible. For double-leaf doors and gates System Schröders TSN-4-CE, the structural opening dimensions range from 1,250 to 3,500 mm in width and from 1,700 to 3,500 mm in height.
External and internal doors with 90 minutes fire resistance
As a first step, the licensed manufacturing companies of System Schröders offer external and internal doors with 90 minutes fire resistance, optionally with smoke control class EI290 (S200) C5.
For the single-leaf construction with 90 minutes fire resistance System Schröders TSN-11-CE, widths of 525 to 1,500 mm and heights of 750 to 2,950 mm are possible. The new constructions have been successfully tested in fire tests according to EN 1634-1, smoke tests according to EN 1634-3, and durability tests according to EN 1191. A classification report according to EN 13501-2 is available.
Combinable with additional performance characteristics
In addition, the new doors and gates can optionally be extended with various performance characteristics such as burglar resistance up to class RC4, airtightness up to class 4, water tightness up to class 8a, resistance to wind load up to class C5, positive and negative pressure up to 5,000 Pa, and acoustic performance up to 53 dB.
All doors can be manufactured in steel as well as in stainless steel and fitted with glass apertures as desired.
Available as internal doors upon publication of the product standard for internal doors EN 14351-2
The product standard EN 16034 is only applicable in combination with the respective product standards EN 14351-1 (external doors), EN 14351-2 (internal doors), EN 13241 (gates), and EN 16361 (automatic doors). Of these, the product standards EN 14351-2 and EN 16361 have not yet been listed in the Official Journal and are therefore not yet available for combination with EN 16034. As soon as they are published in the Official Journal, our doors can also be supplied promptly for these areas.
CE standards can be implemented with immediate effect
For architects, manufacturers, and processors, this means that tender documents and quotations can already be drawn up in accordance with EN 16034 in the areas where it is currently in force, and in all product areas once the missing product standards have been added. The "System Schröders" licensed companies can already manufacture according to the standard that became mandatory on 1 November 2019, and thus secure their future position.
