Reliable protection against disturbing noise
Preventing the transmission of high sound levels
Noise is generally understood as exposure to a high sound level that has a disturbing or even harmful effect on health. And indeed, noise in everyday life is a burden that has been proven to cause health damage.
Acoustic performance describes measures that reduce the transmission of sound that causes noise. Effective structural measures in buildings are intended to reduce or even prevent the transmission of sound. When it comes to acoustic performance, particular attention is paid to the openings in walls – in other words, doors. Because they are usually a weak point in sound insulation. Therefore, suitable acoustic performance doors are of particular importance. They can protect openings in walls against the penetration of sound and thus ensure pleasant quietness.
Improved acoustic performance also for doors with glass cut-out
Areas that are exposed to high noise levels in particular can gain great added value from sound-insulating doors. As an additional highlight, System Schröders also offers these high-performance acoustic performance doors with glass apertures on request.
Sound insulation tested by TÜV Nord
The newly developed single-leaf acoustic performance doors SN-1 and double-leaf acoustic performance doors SN-2 from System Schröders offer a greatly improved acoustic performance compared to previous doors. The sound insulation of the doors has been tested by TÜV Nord.
Single-leaf acoustic performance doors
With the new single-leaf doors, a sound reduction of up to 53 decibels for fully paneled steel doors (sound reduction index RW (C;Ctr) = 53 (-1;-5) dB) and – brand new – of up to 52 decibels for door elements with glass apertures (sound reduction index RW (C;Ctr) = 52 (-1;-5) dB) is possible.
Double-leaf acoustic performance doors
With the new double-leaf doors, a sound reduction of up to 48 decibels for fully paneled steel doors RW (C;Ctr) = 48 (-1;-5) dB) and – also brand new – glazed up to RW (C;Ctr) = 45 (-1;-3) dB) is achieved.
Also combinable with additional performance properties on request
Like all security doors from the System Schröders ModulSystem, the new acoustic performance doors can of course also be combined with additional performance properties. This permits their use in a wide variety of applications. Individual combinations with individual or multiple additional requirements – such as Fire resistance, Smoke control or Burglar resistance – are possible.
