Effective burglary protection
The requirements for burglar-resistant doors are defined by the European standard EN 1627. This standard defines the resistance classes RC1 to RC6.
Effective protection against a serious burglary attempt is provided from resistance class RC3 onwards. This is because the relevant standard EN 1627 et seqq. only requires burglar resistance doors of class RC3 and above to withstand levering tools such as a crowbar. Doors of resistance class RC4 and above additionally withstand impact tools such as sledgehammers and chisels, as well as battery-powered drills.
Burglar-resistant doors of resistance classes RC1 and RC2 can offer only limited protection against burglary or vandalism. Burglar resistance doors in this category provide, at best, protection against opportunistic offenders who, if at all, use only simple tools.
Especially when non-visible areas of a building, such as garage entrances or side entrances, need to be protected, you should not take any risks when it comes to burglary protection.
Tested and certified according to EN 1627
System Schröders offers highly effective protection here with the System Schröders burglar resistance doors ESN-1 (single-leaf) and ESN-2 (double-leaf). System Schröders burglar resistance doors are tested and certified according to EN 1627. These steel security doors can be supplied in resistance classes RC1, RC2, RC3, and RC4.
Patented ESP rebate protection profile
From class RC3 upwards, the System Schröders ESN burglar-resistant steel security doors are equipped with our patented ESP security profile. This is a rebate protection profile that effectively prevents direct attacks on the door rebate. The door rebate is considered the weak point of a door.
Secure and attractive
Through the intelligent use of this rebate protection profile, the single- or double-leaf security doors achieve a new level of quality in burglary protection – and this with a very cost-effective construction.
In addition to their effective burglary protection, their excellent price/performance ratio makes these burglar-resistant doors equally attractive for commercial and private use.
Can be combined with additional protection requirements
Within the framework of the System Schröders ModulSystem, the burglar resistance doors can be equipped with the following performance properties in combination:
- Usability as an internal or external door (DIN EN 14351),
- Fire protection T30 and T90 (DIN 4102, national technical approval),
- Fire protection EI230, EI260, EI290, and EI2120 (EN 16034, CE marking)
- Smoke control S200 (EN 16034, CE marking)
- Acoustic performance (EN ISO 717-1),
