Simple retrofitting of safety
Experts regard the prevention of the spread of combustion gases as the key safety factor in preventive structural fire protection and fire resistance.
Older generations of fire resistance doors generally do not fulfil this requirement for smoke control. Until now, these existing doors had to be laboriously replaced with new closures, even though their fire resistance function was still fully intact.
Smoke control for existing doors
Information
The retrofittable System Schröders smoke control system enables existing fire resistance doors to be quickly, cost-effectively, and cleanly upgraded to fully compliant smoke control doors according to DIN 18095.
As a solution, System Schröders has developed a process that allows existing protective doors to be retrofitted with all-round smoke control seals.
The first retrofit smoke control system for existing doors tested according to DIN 18095 and EN 1634-3.
The System Schröders retrofit system was successfully tested by MPA NRW (Materials Testing Institute North Rhine-Westphalia) in smoke and durability tests. The result of these tests is that, for the first time, the requirements of DIN 18095 are fulfilled by retrofitted doors. In addition, the System Schröders retrofit smoke control system is tested according to EN 1634-3.
