Custom solutions from System Schröders
For setting up trade fairs, it is necessary that the halls are not only accessible on foot but can also be driven through by vehicles. This requires large-dimensioned gates that allow vehicles to enter and exit the internal of the halls. HORCH GmbH supplied such solutions for the new construction of Hall 5 at Messe Frankfurt in proven System Schröders quality.
When developing exhibition halls, functionality is among the priorities. Most halls therefore also have large gates that allow vehicles to drive into the halls, since, for example, direct delivery of materials for the setup and dismantling of stands means an enormous simplification of work. For this reason, ten airlock gates were also planned for the new Hall 5 at Messe Frankfurt. These ISN-2 airlock gates, based on the system products of the door and gate developer System Schröders, were manufactured and supplied by the specialists of HORCH GmbH.
Large dimensions and additional properties
The airlock gates, CE-marked according to EN 13241, all have leaf widths of 2,500 mm with a leaf weight of approx. 750 kg. The overall dimensions are 5,100 x 5,050 mm, so that even large vehicles fit through.
For pedestrian traffic, these internal gates are also equipped with threshold-free escape doors with dimensions of 1,200 x 2,100 mm. Required opening forces of less than 100 N and integrated push bars also ensure safe and convenient opening of the doors according to EN 1125.
In addition, the self-closing gates are integrated into the hall's fire protection concept via the fire protection and hold-open system, contributing to the safety of visitors and staff.
